Paloma Proudfoot • Speech Weavers • Fondazione Bonollo • 06.07.–30.08.2025

Paloma Proudfoot’s solo exhibition “Speech Weavers” is on view at Fondazione Bonollo in Thiene, until August 30, 2025.

The show marks Proudfoot’s first solo show in Italy and brings together a new body of work that includes ceramics, textiles, and site-specific installation. At its centre is a large ceramic altarpiece that transforms the act of listening into a sculptural gesture, reflecting on sound as an active form of connection. Throughout the exhibition, Proudfoot explores the body as a porous, ever-changing entity—shaped by time, emotion, and its surrounding environment. In dialogue with feminist theory, psychoanalysis and medieval symbolism, “Speech Weavers” positions the body as both vulnerable and powerful, a site of continuous transformation.

Curated by Elisa Carollo.

“Speech Weavers” is on view until August 30, 2025.
